Man allegedly spits in store employee’s face in Vancouver’s second anti-mask dispute in four days

Calling it one more “egocentric motion and mindless assault,” Vancouver police mentioned on Tuesday {that a} man was arrested on Monday for allegedly spitting within the face of a comfort retailer worker after refusing to put on a face masks.

In keeping with the VPD, the 36-year-old suspect, a Vancouver resident, was requested to put on a masks by a retailer worker when he entered a comfort retailer close to Seymour and Dunsmuir streets.

After the suspect refused, the worker declined to supply any service to the suspect, police mentioned. In response, the suspect turned in direction of the worker and allegedly “spat instantly” in his face.

“After the spitting, a bodily combat ensued between the 2 males,” mentioned VPD Const. Tania Visintin. “The suspect then fled the shop in a car.”
