Canadian Pacific Railway says an investigation is underway after certainly one of its freight trains derailed within the Crowsnest Cross late Friday afternoon.

In an electronic mail to International Information, a spokesperson for the Transportation Security Board of Canada (TSB) mentioned the company was informed “at the least 20 vehicles derailed close to Crowsnest Lake close to Coleman, Alta.”
The Crowsnest Cross Herald reported that 5 vehicles fell into Crowsnest Lake.
The TSB confirmed the derailment resulted in no accidents and didn’t contain harmful items. The federal government company mentioned that whereas it’s “assessing,” as of Friday night time it didn’t have plans to deploy personnel to the scene.
