SAINT-ALPHONSE-RODRIGUEZ, Que. — Quebec provincial police say a two-time convicted assassin who escaped a minimal safety facility north of Montreal final week has been discovered.
Police say David Everett Alexson was arrested early this morning in Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez, about 95 kilometres north of Montreal.
The 51-year-old had been final seen leaving the Waseskun Therapeutic Lodge, a group residential and detention centre, round 6 p.m. Wednesday.
He’s serving an indeterminate sentence for 2 counts of second-degree homicide and for arson, escape from lawful custody, jail breach with intent, assault in opposition to a peace officer and break and enter with intent.
Provincial police Sgt. Claude Denis stated Alexson may face further prices of break and enter and escape from authorized custody stemming from his flight.
He added that the inmate was discovered protected and sound, and that no person was damage on account of the escape.
